Welcome to Good News United Methodist Church in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. The mission of Good News is to produce faithful followers of Jesus who know God, love God, and serve God. We do this through loving God and our neighbor as ourselves.
It is our vision to offer worship that honors Jesus Christ, prayer that has the power of the Holy Spirit, teaching that grows and equips us to better follow and serve Jesus Christ, and fellowship that allows God to fulfill His work (locally and globally) in us.
Our core values in achieving this mission are:
- We desire to be a community center for the South Walton area, a place where life, learning, and relationships happen. In doing this we will always point to Jesus, our own center.
- We recognize that the people of Good News are the mission and are to be the reflection of Jesus for the world. We seek God's glory when we achieve this and we ask forgiveness when we fall short.
- We will always provide a focus on the study of God's Word so that in knowing God we will be able to apply that knowledge in our loving and serving.
- We will seek a sense of community which is open, honest, and in fellowship with Christ.
- We will rejoice in relational ministries to all ages and, within leader resources, will expand these as the Holy Spirit leads.
