Greetings, fellow Good News Christians!
 Spring is rapidly approaching - the plants are beginning to flower, the landscape is showing signs of that lovely color of green only seen this time of year. It's the cycle of the seasons that represents rebirth. The breath of new life is starting to rise up.
Unfortunately, so are the weeds!
If you like to put your hands to work in the soil, we need you. If you have the ability to "kill a rock garden", we really need you. Or, if you want to take part in some sort of group at our church with a prestigious title, but don't want to spend a lot of time on it, this is for you.
We are a new group called the Brown Thumb Club, and we need "lay weeders" (if you say it real fast, it sounds like "lay leader").
The grounds of both the new sanctuary and the youth facility have been divided into sections and there will be a layout posted on the new bulletin board soon. We'd like to involve every group, club, committee and board to "adopt a section", where a few representatives can put their abilities to work. This is not something that is going to interrupt your weekend, because with the onset of daylight savings time, the best time to weed is in the late afternoon - (you can work that pot luck supper off) - any day of the week.
