- ETA3: One of Juilliard's most exciting chamber ensembles:
Saturday, April 12 at 7:30pm
Named after a luminous and spectacular star-forming Nebula in our galaxy, ETA3 comprises an American flutist- Emily Thomas, Japanese Pianist- Tomoko Nakayama and Russian Clarinetist- Alexey Gorokholinsky. ETA also initializes the first letter of each musician's first name. Fortunately, music lovers in and around Destin do not need a telescope to get a good glimpse of this Shining Star Nebula as they perform at Santa Rosa Beach's Good News United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 12 at 7:30pm.
The Trio strives to communicate the intellectual and emotional elements of life by broadening the audience's perspective through a varied range of repertoire. Their program includes a variety of captivating works by Romantic, French Impressionist and Classical composers. The performance will last 65 minutes, (without intermission) and will be held in the newly constructed hall at Good News. Maestro Fuller commented, "The great acoustics and new grand piano along with the comfortable seating make Good News an ideal venue to present these talented artists." *Please note: this performance will not feature the orchestra*
- ArtsQuest 20th anniversary Kick-off Concert
May 4th, 2008
Featuring the New Gulf Coast Choir
There could not be a better way to kick-off the week than with the inspirational voices of the New Gulf Coast Choir. Under the direction of Michael Grady, these forty young people, aged seven and up, are fine examples of how the art of music touches the heart and changes lives. The choir, which began with a focus on “at risk” youth has become an award-winning group that has shared the stage with many Grammy winners across the country.
