Title:Day 20 - Saturday - August 23, 2008
Reference:ROMANS 12: 1; 4-5
Notes:

ROMANS 12: 1; 4-5 (KJV) - “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”

In this verse, a Christian’s life of joyful service is lived before God. Service is reasonable, not an imposition. Service is also a sacrifice, a loving active sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. It is by God’s unfailing grace and kindness we are able to do this.

For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one Body in Christ, and everyone members one of another.”

It is the world’s view that one individual is more “important” than another. Paul teaches that this is not the way God has structured the Body of Christ on earth. Rather, we are fitly joined together and our gifts and callings are to be used to benefit other members of His Body. God has freely given us these gifts, so, we too share them with one another.
