| Notes: | HEBREWS 10:36 (NIV) - “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”
Try as I might to follow God’s will, sometimes I try to direct
Him. When that happens, I think that I obviously have the correct
solution to my situation! However, if I wait for God’s direction, the
result is so much more than I could have dreamt. During some of my hard
times I have tried to solve my problems with my own wisdom. I begin to
panic and imagine all of the things that could go wrong as a result of
my situation—the worst case scenario. The consequence has always been a
mess. When I take my eyes off God and what I know he wants of me, I
fail.
But God is patient with me and reminds me that I need to maintain
my faith even when it does not seem logical. When I am faithful, He
blesses me beyond anything I could imagine.
As Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not depend on your own understanding.”
